Online TV is the future, so say the newspapers
Following on from its deal with netflix to supply streaming movies on TiVo players, TiVo has now will be launching home shopping services from your TV soon.
This move comes as TiVo seeks to position its wares as more than just a tv recorder. Other new services admit interactive games and information services along with online TV shows and movie content.
Boss of TiVo Robbee Minicola said that TiVo users will be able to use a wide range of internet services which will include grocery and food shopping. Even the ability to order pizzas by parade of 2009.
Interestingly and catering to public demand, most of the new services will be free to users and paid for with advertising. So only the TiVo and internet connection are needed.
Online TV has always been fantastic to an ever growing number of internet tv fans but its tentacles are getting into mainstream media more with every day that passes.
The finish report in Australian Newpaper The Sydney Morning harbinger proclaims that Online TV is the future. In fact it claims that as more television shows are avoiding the main TV set and launching online, then traditional TV audiences will follow. If reports are true then in between trine and 10 it may well take over.
Show presenter Brooke Hemphill got the idea from her dating column and said it would be bang-up if the series was picked up by a TV network, however it can be successful on the web only.
The dating show will be shown in five atomlike instalments each day.

He said ‘If you look at the marketing rags, the trade magazines, there is a definite trend for traditional television audiences migrating to online. If you moot the reports, in three age it is going to be really noticeable and in 10 years online could just take over.
Because of the interaction and flexibility that you get with live internet tv, it is only a matter of time before your television set is dead.
